The major purposes of this blog are to:
1. Bring about the New Evangelization through demonstrating to the vast Catholic-blogosphere the "reform of the reform" revival of sacred tradition in the Catholic Church on a college campus.
2. Demonstrate the ease of formulating a parish choir from using resources such as the Simple English Propers, Corpus Christi Watershed, Liber Usualis 1961, and sacred choral polyphony for all ranges of talent in a normal parish.
3. Post choral programs every week from that Schola Gregoriana that demonstrate the simple ways a parish choir can bring back the solemnity and majesty of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
4. Bring about a network of like-minded Catholic musicians whose primary goal within their own parish communities is to revive the Catholic tradition of glorious music.
5. Post videos of the Schola Gregoriana singing these glorious sacred works ranging from chants and hymns to the works of Tallis, Byrd, Purcell, and even Charles Stanford and much more.
6. Advertise and raise funds for Schola Gregoriana and the music ministry of Blessed John Paul II University Parish, for without money and resources, no ministry can properly function!
I pray that this blog and the many other wonderful blogs that are a part of the "reform of the reform" community will bring about the true revival of Sacred Tradition within the Catholic Church!
Pax Christi,
Pax Christi,
Chase Fowler
